2011 EUROPEAN REGIONAL CONFERENCE - BADEN-BADEN

Call for workshop proposals and papers
European Forum Pre-Conference Day – Tuesday 2 August 2011 in Baden-Baden
The European Forum invites all teachers (members and non-members) to the Pre-Conference Seminar on Tuesday 2 August - Educational Challenges in the 21st
century. “Haven’t you heard, Miss, us boys don’t read,” is just one example of the challenges that today’s teachers meet in their
work.
Please send us examples of good practice and names for workshop holders. We are looking for workshops from each country, especially on topics of gender differences, literacy, and teaching students with different social backgrounds.
We plan to present a full day’s program from 9.00 am – 5.00 pm that can be utilised for teachers´ in-service training. The detailed programme will be on the following websites by the end of March: the main DKG website (http://www.dkg.org/), the European website (http://www.dkgeurope.org/ ) and the German website (http://www.dkggermany.org/ ). A separate Pre-Conference Day Workshop Form will be available soon on these web sites. The fee for the day is 20€ (lunch and a certificate of participation will be provided). The deadline for sending proposals for the Pre-Conference Day, 2 August, has been extended to 15 March.
