The theme is:
Values, Attitudes, and Socialization of Upper Secondary School Students during the Transition from Russian to Estonian-Language of Instruction.
Jelena is a lecturer at Narva College of the University of Tartu, teaching mainly economics and digitalization subjects, She has a PhD degree in economics. She also teach in one of Tallin private upper secondary school.
As a scholar she participate in different social studies, and a study of values, attitudes and socialization of the students during transition to Estonian language of instruction is one of them. The study was conducted in the beginning of the 2025. Transition into Estonian language of instruction has been one of the most educational challenges for several years in her country.
