From Daniela von Essen, State Organisation President Germany and member of the European Forum :

The last two years I had some time to act on what DKG means to me: building International Connections:
In my Easter Break 2017, I went to Helsinki to visit my LMS sister Iida. She gave me the opportunity of visiting a school, attending her classes and talking to her eight-year old students about Germany.
In October 2017, Iida came to Rastede to stay at my house and shadowing me at my work for a day. She also spent a day in the elementary school next to our secondary school. We had a really good time and got a lot of input for our professional work.
In September Saskia, a DKG member from Estonia, came to my school “KGS Rastede” to gain an insight into everyday school life in Germany. We had a great day and enjoyed getting to know each other even better.

It is my strong conviction that these kinds of experience is a great opportunity for every teacher of our society, not only to travel but to get to know how school “works” in different countries. Without any bureaucracy it should be possible to visit each other and shadowing each other at work. So I offer to take care of a list of interested people and will try to match them. If somebody is interested in this kind of exchange, please feel free to contact your state president or your European Forum member to get more information and my E-Mail address.

I can only strongly recommend to take advantages of this possibility that DKG offers to us members.
Go for this opportunity!!!
Here you can get a form to fill and send to Daniella
